15th World esports championships announced

The International Esports Federation (IESF) announced that Iași, Romania, will host the 15th IESF World Esports Championships in 2023.
IESF estimates that the 15th WEC will attract about 800 athletes from around 130 countries.
The 14th World Esports Championships (WEC) held in Bali from 1 to 12 December 2022 was lauded as a success, with more than 600 players from 105 countries participating across six game titles (CS:GO, DotA2, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, eFootball 2023, Tekken 7 and PUBG Mobile) and where the Namibian ladies CS:GO team placed 4th on the leader boards.
The Namibian Electronic Sports Association (NESA) is now eagerly heading into the new season of esports, and together with their leading ISP partner MTC, are gearing up for another successful esports year to adapt and conduct the national qualifiers for the national esports team selections in February, armed with the following game titles: CS:GO, DotA2, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, eFootball 2023, Tekken 7 and PUBG Mobile.
All qualifiers are set to be held in the MTC Playzone in Maerua Mall.
