CAM partners with NAMEF for national champs

Capricorn Asset Management (CAM) announced its partnership with the Namibian Equestrian Federation (NAMEF) to offer support for the 2024 Namibian Equestrian Championship events in the disciplines of Eventing, Endurance, Show Jumping, and Dressage.
CAM MD Tertius Liebenberg and NAMEF president Richard Frankle formally signed the agreement earlier this week. The goal of this partnership is to promote and develop equestrian sport in Namibia while maintaining the extremely high standards of both the Fédération Equestre Internationale (FEI) and the International Olympic Committee (IOC) for performance and participation as well as impeccable horse welfare.
“CAM is proud to contribute to the growth of the equestrian sport in Namibia. We look forward to seeing the positive impact of this sponsorship on the athletes, horse welfare and the broader community in Namibia and beyond,” Liebenberg said.
Frankle thanked CAM for its contribution to the sport, saying that such contributions play a vital role in promoting diversity in the sport, the development of young riders, and ensuring that the lesser-known sports receive the necessary funding and exposure.
Coming up
The first events under this partnership are the Namibian Eventing Championship in Otjiwarongo this weekend, hosted by the Reitgemeinschaft Otjiwarongo and the Namibian Endurance Championship in Swakopmund from 20 to 23 August, hosted by the Reiter Verein Swakopmund. The Endurance Desert Challenge is notable since it also draws international riders from South Africa and Europe, and will be live-streamed for a wider audience.
This sponsorship builds on the success of the recent Africa Shield Eventing Challenge, hosted by Kapps Stables from 19 to 21 July. The event, also supported by CAM, featured teams from Namibia, South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Zambia competing, with Namibia emerging as the victor.
