Golfing for good

Nedbank for Good Series heads to Oranjemund
The third round of the Nedbank for Good Series takes place on Saturday (3 June) at the Oranjemund Golf Club.
The series is aimed at creating awareness and providing assistance to several social charity organisations in different communities across the country.
This year, the Nedbank for Good Series introduced the Rössing Foundation’s Mobile Laboratory for Science and Mathematics, with Nedbank committing N$250 000 towards the laboratory which supports education in English, mathematics, and science. The mobile laboratory will be driving to different schools in the country which do not have easy access to education centres due to their remote locations.
DZ Golf Coordinator and Nedbank for Good Series event organiser, Dan Zwiebel, said that he is looking forward to organising this golf event. “Oranjemund has an amazing golf course, a truly hidden gem and the hospitality shown last year was next level. I have made some amazing friends and I am looking forward to returning,” he said.
Zwiebel added that he ensures all players have a noteworthy experience at these golf events.
“With support from CB Enterprises and Global 360 Distributors, we will be handing out a welcome gift upon arrival. The prizes are sponsored by Pupkewitz Megabuild. We will also have the winner of the men’s and ladies’ division qualify for the final to be played at Omeya Golf Club on 6 October 2023,” he said.
Nedbank Namibia Manager for Communication and PR, Selma Kaulinge, said that the bank is proud of being part of an initiative that helps assist those in need.
“We are delighted to be part of this golf series which represents our ongoing commitment as money experts who do good. Golf is a sport that embodies discipline, precision, and camaraderie, and we believe it aligns perfectly with our values as an institution. We look forward to witnessing some incredible talent and fostering a sense of sportsmanship among the participants on the day.”
