Second NHRSA shoot for the year
Nam to host international shoot in 2024
From 14 to 16 April, the Namibian Hunting Rifle Shooting Association (NHRSA) held their second competition leg for the 2023 season, including their annual corporate shoot at Otjiwa Safari Lodge.On 14 April, the first leg of the .222/.223 were held, followed by the 1st and 2nd leg on 15 and 16 April
With tricky terrain, windy conditions and wet weather contributing to a challenging competition, the event consisted of six different ranges (2 long ranges, and 4 life-size ranges), with a maximum total score of 902 points (150 points per range).
In other news, from 1 to 4 June, the NHRSA hosts their third leg in Stampriet, which will also include the team selection for the test match against South Africa which will take place from 6 to 8 October 2023 at Heja Lodge.
Furthermore, Namibia will be hosting the 4th World International Hunting Rifle Shooting Championship from 10 to 15 June 2024 at Otjiwa Lodge in the north of Namibia, with participants from Namibia, South Africa, the Czech Republic, Australia, the Netherlands and elsewhere expected to join.
The selection for Team Namibia is scheduled for 8 and 9 March 2024. Five teams will be selected namely National Men, President Men, National Ladies, National Junior and National .222/.223 teams.
