Castle Lite Series returns
Cricket Namibia presents the first Castle Lite series of 2024. This year's edition kicks off with the highly anticipated clash between the Richelieu Eagles and the Punjab Cricket Association (PCA) from India.
The five-match one-day series will be a thrilling tournament for the Namibian side as well as for cricket fans. From 3 through 10 July, the cricket action unfolds at the Wanderers Sports Club in Windhoek, with all matches starting at 09:30 on 3, 5, 7, 9 and 10 July.
Fresh off their T20 World Cup campaign in the West Indies, the Richelieu Eagles are eager to return to familiar territory. This series offers a crucial opportunity for the Eagles to showcase their skills on home soil and deliver high-quality cricket.
The PCA boasts a formidable 15-man squad, with a majority of players having seasoned experience in the Indian Premier League (IPL). This infusion of top-tier talent guarantees a fiercely competitive series that will entertain cricket fans around the world.
The Richelieu Eagles have selected a wider pool of 20 players, providing flexibility and depth throughout the series. Notably, several fringe players have earned their call-up, offering a glimpse into the senior men’s cricket setup.
