Taking you on a magic Journey

The tourism sector of Namibia is in the process of gaining momentum. Many establishments have recorded a substantial increase in bookings and most of the car rental companies struggle to find sufficient vehicles to meet the demand.

Namibia Media Holdings (NMH) hopes to contribute towards this upswing by promoting tourism through the Tourism Expo that is held on the 3rd, 4th and 5th of November 2022. This is the ideal occasion to launch the “Tourismus Namibia” magazine.

True to the motto of the Expo, TN too takes tourism to the regions. Frank Steffen introduces you to the people and environment of Damaraland and Kaokoveld – known for their vast, often inaccessible, semi-desert landscapes. This is where the Ovahimba are at home.
While in the north he also takes a look at the O-Regions and how to best combine a visit to the Oshikoto-, Ohangwena-, Oshana- or Omusati Regions with a visit to Etosha National Park and such like.

Erwin knows and lives in- and he loves the Erongo Region like no other. He tells us why that region has more to offer than just a coastline along the Atlantic Ocean.

I recently had the privilege to visit the Kavango West and -East Regions as well as the Zambezi Region. I bring you highlights and interesting projects that I stumbled across during this unforgettable trip.

You can also read about southern Namibia and much more in this issue – and this time we have a pull-out map for you.

I sincerely hope that this edition of Tourismus Namibia will have you visit this beautiful country soon!
