NWR announces more renovations

Namibia Wildlife Resorts (NWR) announced that major renovations would start at most of its tourist sites, which is expected to cost N$16 million.
“The biggest challenge for NWR is legacy infrastructure,” said Nelson Ashipala, manager of corporate communications.
According to him, most customer complaints are related to outdated infrastructure. “This new chapter will allow us to once again offer a high standard in terms of appearance and experiences at most, if not all, of our resorts,” Ashipala said.
Some of the lodges and camps that still need to undergo renovations are Onkoshi, Ai-Ais, Waterberg, Sossus Dune Lodge and Hardap Dam Resort. At some sites, like Okaukuejo, renovations have already been completed, according to Ashipala. “Major works are being carried out at Onkoshi and Sossus Dune Lodge in particular, where the decks and roofs will be completely revamped,” Ashipala explained.
