2024 Careers Expo launched
The Namibia Careers Expo was launched in the capital today, with the event scheduled for 3 and 4 April at the Windhoek Country Club. This expo is aimed at empowering the Namibian youth by providing them with invaluable resources and opportunities to explore their career pathways and aspirations.
This year’s Careers Expo is sponsored by the Banker’s Association of Namibia (BAN) represented by Bank Windhoek and First National Bank, along with support from the Environmental Investment Fund (EIF) that will be showcasing environmental stewardship & entrepreneurship; Fortescue Energy that will be showcasing the future opportunities for green hydrogen (GH2) and careers in the GH2 Industry; and the UNFPA that hosts a “Skills for Life” seminar, giving learners a glimpse in the skills needed to succeed in life.
The One Economy Foundation through its transformative #BeFree initiative has sponsored the integrated Speakers Hall. A key feature is the variety of industry professionals imparting practical career advice to learners.
The expo aims to catalyse the professional development of Namibian youth, offering a dynamic platform where attendees can engage with industry leaders, educational institutions, and potential employers. Through a series of interactive sessions, seminars and exhibitor booths, participants will gain insights into various career fields, educational pathways, and skills development opportunities.
