Africa Cup lies in wait for Desert Jewels

Netball
Netball Namibia on Sunday announced its senior national training squad who will be preparing for the Debmarine Desert Jewels’ participation at the Africa Cup in December 2024.
The host country of the continental tournament is yet to be confirmed by the Africa Netball Board.
The selected players put up their hand with solid performances during the recently completed MTC Netball Namibia Premier League season, in which Namibia Correctional Service (winners for 2024 and 20023), Namibia Navy (second), Mithy Gunners and Wanderers finished as the top four.
The following players reported over the weekend for the first sessions at Trustco United’s court in Olympia, under the watchful eye of national coaches Julene Meyer and Dorette Badenhorst:

Two players currently out of the country who will attend training camp are Loide Kanona Hanyanya (wing attack, Tigers) and Cornelia Mupenda (goal defence, University of Johannesburg).
