United and Old Boys in charge

The Namibia Innate Supplies (NIS) CCD Tigers 1 beat Trustco United 1 by four wickets on Saturday, while the NMH Motor Holdings Old Boys 1 overshadowed the MR24/7 Welwitschias by eight wickets on the same day.
At Tigers' home ground in Pionierspark, United batted first in their One Premier League match against Tigers. United were restricted to 116 runs (all out) in 35 overs (ov).
Tigers had to chase 117 runs at 3.35 runs per ov to win the clash. With only 25 overs bowled, the hosts secured victory with 120 runs on the scoreboard for the loss of six wickets.
Stephen Baard (60 runs, 57 balls, 6x4) and Ryan Moffet (31, 62 b, 1x4) top scored for the Tigers. Henry Hayes (44, 50 b, 3x4, 2x6) fought a lonely battle against the Tigers’ bowlers.
Tigers’ Tawanda Sithole took four wickets for 12 runs in 10 overs, and Mauritius Ngupita took 3/41 in 10. For United, Christian Schumacher (3/19 in 5) was the best bowler.
The Boys
The Welwitschias scored 155/10 in 43.1 overs versus Old Boys in their One Day Premier League match at Wanderers on Saturday.
Old Boys had little trouble outscoring the Welwitschias' total with 156/2 in 25.5 overs to win the clash by eight wickets.
The Welwitschias' most runs came from Simon Shikongo (42, 75 b, 4x6), Samson Chivi (36, 31 b, 4x4, 1x6) and Tawanda Ngwenya (25, 55 b, 1x4). Malan Kruger (35, 33 b, 4x4, 2x6), Gerhard Janse van Rensburg (53, 75 b, 2x4, 1x6) and JW Visagie (42*, 48 b, 3x4, 1x6) from Old Boys did not spare the Welwitschia bowlers.
Ado Iita (1/20 in 2.2 ov) and Hanro Badenhorst (1/33 in 5) succeeded with the ball in hand for the coastal outfit. For the Old Boys, Donovan Zealand (2/9 in 7) and Henry Van Wyk (2/28 in 7) took a couple.
